BrainMaster MINI-Q™ Add-On works with 2 EW Modules (2.0SE or 2.5 Software). While not a QEEG or a replacement for a QEEG, the MINI-Q™ provides a simple, quick EEG assessment method. Operates
with an ElectroCap, BrainMaster’s FlexCap, or with manually attached electrodes. Scan 12 EEG channels in 6 minutes, using 1-minute epochs. Can use any epoch length you want, and can break up records for eyesclosed, eyes-open, task condition, etc. BrainMaster’s specialized MINI-Q™ software simplifies the assessment process from start to finish. It automatically controls, times and pauses all data-taking, prompts you to set the switch position, allows you to preverify all waveforms visually before data-taking, and then organizes all data for display, graphing, Excel export, etc. Reads locations: Fz, Cz; F3, F4; C3, C4; T3, T4; P3, P4; O1, O2. All records are labeled with proper electrode identifiers. Using the MINI-Q™ assist software, it is easy to gather a substantial mini-assessment, with a minimum of confusion or errors. This system can assist with mini-assessments as described by various practitioners. Data reports include amplitude (microvolts ), FFT energy (percent), variance, and dominant frequency for each of 8 frequency bands, component ratios (theta/beta, etc), plus coherence, phase, and asymmetry between channel pairs. A variety of templates and mac-ros are available for interpretation, graphical display, and reporting. MINI-Q™ is an ideal way to obtain continued “snapshots” of a trainee’s overall EEG state. It is simple enough to conduct before and after training, to assess short-term effects. MINIQ ™ can be done in many situations in which a full QEEG may be impractical, costly, or simply unavail-able. Whereas there may be a question about the need for a QEEG in any given situation, the MINI-Q™ always provides an assessment alternative that is simple, reliable, and cost-effective.
